If you are already a Skype user, you must have noticed banner Ads on top or right side of Skype. Sometimes, promotional Ads on Skype make us too annoying. Many users don’t want to see these ads in Skype and wants to disable Skype banner ads. Luckily, we do have a solution to stop those Ads to display on Skype App.
Skype is a very good option to make audio & video calls, individual & group chats over the internet to any country and region. Most of the home users, use Skype App to interact with their family members those are living far from them. Disable Skype Banner Ads or Remove Skype Ads
Step 1. Open up the “Control Panel“. To open Windows control panel, press “Win + R” and it will open Run Dialog box. Type “control” then, click OK. Once control panel open, navigate and click “Internet Options”.
Second option to open control panel is to use the keyboard combination Win + R, will open Run dialog box for you then, type the command “inetcpl.cpl” and hit on OK button. Both ways will open “Internet Properties” for you.
Step 2. Now go to “Security” Tab. Click on the “Restricted Sites” icon then, the “Sites” button below it.
Step 4. Finally, Click Apply and OK to close the Internet Properties, by doing this the changes has applied.
Now, the only thing you need to do is, Quit the Skype App and open it once again. Alternatively, you may restart your computer. Now, there will be no Ads in Skype. This is the easiest and quick way to disable skype banner ads in Windows.
