Followed the procedure and now have “Threat service has stopped. Restart it now” Restart now button gives message of “Unexpected error. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Please try again”. Have been through 2 restarts and have the same issue. Any ideas? Thanks
It’s quite strange that after following all the steps still, you got the same issue. Request you please follow below steps:
Navigate to below given registry path and make sure “value” should be set a “0” for “DisableAntiSpyware”.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender๏ปฟ
Then, Restart PC. Let me know if it is not resolved.
Thanks worked for me.
