  1. I have been trying to install and reinstall. No matter how I try your methods, I keep getting this when opening Skype:

Update now to continue using Skype
This version of Skype is no longer supported. Get the latest version of Skype to enjoy HD video calls, call recording, @mentions and much more.

How can I bypass this? Any ideas

    1. Disconnected or disable your internet for a while once you have installed Skype version 7.40. Then, launch Skype and if if ask for “Update now to continue using Skype”, click on update and due to no internet connection it won’t update and may give you an option to do it later and Skype will open. After that you may use given options in this Method.

  2. This method doesn’t seem to work now. I get prompt to update skype once they asked me for password. and I am left with “update skype” or “quit”. Any update to this method?

  3. Once I login, I am getting a prompt to update skype today. I have only two options, “Update Skype” or “Quit”. Is there any update to stop this prompt so I can continue to use the skype 7.4?
