Skype is an online communication application that allow users to do video or audio call between the certain devices (Desktop, Laptop, Tablets & Smartphones, etc.) Apart it has text message option as well. It required an internet access in order to use this application software. Skype is a part of Microsoft. You may have multiple Skype accounts to work with office and personal use. It looks very irritating to logout one account and sign in another one. You could wish that if you can run multiple skype accounts in a Windows computer.

But do you know that you can access two (2) different Skype accounts in a single computer? If you want to be signed in to both accounts at the same time in a Windows PC. This article will help you to run multiple Skype accounts in your computer at the same time.

Steps To Run Multiple Skype Accounts

Important Notice: if you have multiple instances of Skype running, you may need to use the Task Manager to close Skype. Follow the steps given below, to multiple sign of Skype accounts:

Step 1. First, open Run dialog box. Press “Win + R” keys on your keyboard at the same time to open “Run” dialog box.

Step 2. In the Run window, type or copy paste the following command and click OK:


In case, if you get an error, try again, but this time type a bit different command following %programfiles%/skype/phone/ in the Run window and hit OK button to open.

Step 3. Once you done with Step 2; Skype application folder will open on your screen. Look for “Skype.exe” and Right-click on it and send to -> Desktop (create shortcut).

Step 4. Find out the shortcut you just created on your desktop, then right-click it and select “Properties”.

Step 5. Go to Shortcut Tab, in the Target field add /secondary to the end of the path. The Target field should now “C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe” /secondary or “C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe” /secondary

Step 6. Now you are ready to access two different Skype accounts in same time in one Windows PC.
