Clear Google Chrome Search History

Users do have the option to clear their Chrome browsing history if they do not want to record their visited web pages using Chrome.

There is an option available if you want to delete all browsing history or for a specific period of time only.

Hence, here are the steps to delete Chrome browsing history easily and quickly:

NOTE: The steps shown below have been done on Chrome Version 108.0.5359.125

Step 1. Open or launch the Google Chrome browser:

  • Navigate to the Chrome Menu (Three dotted icon on the top-right)
  • Then, click History -> History

Alternatively, you can use Ctrl + H keyboard key combination to reach the history page while Chrome is open.

Step 2. As a result, you are on the Chrome history page where you can see all the previously visited web pages with date and time.

On the left, click Clear browsing data

Step 3. A window will appear with Basic and Advanced options.

  • Choose the appropriate option Basic or Advanced
  • Select the time range (last hour, last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 4 weeks or all time)
  • Select what you want to clear or delete
  • Finally, click on Clear Data

The moment you have clicked on the Clear Data button, it will do a small process (depending on the selected time range) and the basic and advanced box will disappear automatically once the clear data process is finished.

Above all process will clear your Chrome browser history within quick seconds.
