If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your default web browser then you must be using several bookmarks in it. In some situations, you may reset your browser or somehow you have lost your bookmarks or favorites.

How to Manual Backup Bookmarks for Firefox?
If you want to restore Mozilla Firefox bookmarks, make sure you have backed up your Firefox bookmarks.
Check out the steps below to manually backup your Firefox bookmarks:
NOTE: The steps shown in this post have been done on Mozilla Firefox Version 93.0 and will work on later versions as well.

Step 1. First of all, click on the Library button |I|\ on Firefox toolbar, then click Bookmarks. Scroll to the bottom and click on Manage Bookmarks.
This action will open the Bookmark Manager window on your screen.
Alternatively, use the keyboard hotkeys Ctrl + Shift + O to open bookmark manager.
Step 2. Now, in this Library or Bookmark Manager window, click the Import and Backup button and then select Backup.
Step 3. For the new screen that opens, you now need to choose a location to save the file, which is named by default as bookmarks-“date”.json.
Will suggest, the desktop is a good place to save it initially (later you can move to any other location). But if you want you may choose any place that is easy to remember you will work.
Step 4. Save the bookmarks json file. The Bookmarks backup file name window will close and then you can close the Library window.
This is the easiest way to back up your Mozilla Firefox bookmarks.
Restoring Favorites of Firefox from Backup
Step 1. Follow the steps above to open the Bookmark Manager Screen.
Step 2. Now, in the Library window, click the Import and Backup button and then select restore.
Step 3. Select the backup from which you want to restore. You have two options as below:
- The dated entries are automatic backups. You may choose any.
- Choose File… option will let you restore from manual backup as you saved earlier.
Step 4. Finally, after choosing a backup, your bookmarks from that file will be restored.
Close the Library window and check, you can see all of your bookmarks that you have just restored to your firefox browser.
