Create Network Connection Shortcut

First, will create a Network Connections Shortcut to the Desktop screen.
Step 1. We need to create a shortcut to desktop. For this, Right-click on desktop screen, locate “New” and then select “Shortcut”.
Step 2. The above step will launch “Create Shortcut” wizard on your screen. Now enter following string in the location box and click Next button
Step 3. Once you click the Next button. On the next screen, rename the “explorer” to “Network Connection” and click on Finish to close the wizard.
Step 4. Great! You just created a “Network Connections” Shortcut to your desktop. Now, if you want to change its Icon, right-click on created shortcut and select properties.
Step 5. Network Connections Properties Windows will come to your screen. Under “Shortcut” tab, click on “Change Icon” button. A change Icon box will launch, type “ncpa.cpl” and hit Enter button, then select Network Icon and click OK button to apply the changes and close.
Network Connections Shortcut has successfully created on your desktop now. To check, double click on it and it will launch Network Connections windows on your screen and will show you all the Network Adapters. Just one click and you can reach to your Network Adapters now.
Now, it’s time to Pin created Network Connections Shortcut to Taskbar
To Pin this shortcut to Taskbar, you can simply drag & drop to Taskbar and it will stick there. Alternatively, you can right-click on the Network Connections Shortcut and select “Pin to taskbar”.
Once you are done. You can see, the network connections icon has placed in your taskbar. It is your wish, you would like to use desktop shortcut or taskbar shortcut to open network connections.
