Access to a range of government and non-government services is made easier by the Aadhaar number, which functions as a confirmation of identity and address.

To ensure uniqueness and avoid duplication, it incorporates a person’s demographic and biometric data, such as iris (also known as retina recognition) and fingerprint scans.

Since Aadhaar launched, millions of Indians have enrolled themselves in the Aadhaar project, making it one of the biggest identity schemes in the world.
