Add or Remove Address Bar in Windows Taskbar
There are so many tasks for Windows users which have been made easy by Microsoft. For example, you can enable or disable the address bar on your Windows taskbar which will help you to open any URL.
What is the URL field in the Taskbar?
You may be aware of new features added to Windows 10 wherein you can open any website without going to the browser.
In Windows 10, Microsoft provided an option to place an address bar or URL field into the Windows 10 Taskbar. Wherein you can type any website or web URL and Windows will open it for you in your default browser.
You must be using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as your default browser. If you wish to add or remove the address-bar url field on the Windows Taskbar, follow the steps below:
How to Add an Address Bar on Windows Taskbar?
The steps I have shown below in this post are on Windows 10. By using the same way or processor you can add an address bar or URL field in a Windows 7 and 8 PC.
After adding the URL field on the taskbar, just need to type in any website URL and hit Enter to open it directly.
Step 1. Right-click on the Windows Taskbar, go to the Toolbars and select Address.
Step 2. Once you are done with step 1, you can now see, you have a URL field in the bottom right of your Windows Taskbar.
Step 3. Finally, all the settings are done.
All you need to do is go to the URL field and type in any website address or search for anything and hit Enter on your keyboard.
This will open it up for you in your default web browser.

By doing the above steps, user can add a URL field to the Windows 10 taskbar. It makes it easy to open websites and search anything.
How to Remove Address Bar from Windows Taskbar?
Likewise, right-click on the Windows Taskbar, go to Toolbars and click to uncheck Address. Now see the taskbar, Address field has gone from the Taskbar.
