Missing Sharing Tab
If you use an office network or a home network to share documents, files, folders, music etc between a group of computers, you need to share that particular file or folder in the network. Many users face this kind of problem in which they cannot find Sharing Tab in the folder properties, when they wants to share any folder in their network. It can happen with any version of Windows. For example, check below screenshots wherein you are missing sharing tab in first image and can see sharing tab in second image:
This is very important you should aware about that why this problem occurs in windows computers. It happens most of the time, if in case “Security Accounts Manager” or “Server” services has stopped somehow. To fix this trouble we need to start those services.
Solved – Missing Sharing Tab from Folder Properties
Step 1. Open Windows “Services”. To open Windows Services, Open “Run” command by using a keyboard key combination Win + R. Once the Run dialog box open, type services.msc and hit on OK button.
Step 2. Once Windows Services open, scroll down the list and look for Security Accounts Manager and Server services. You can check one of them or both services are not started. Fixed - Missing Sharing Tab from Folder Properties Click To Tweet
Step 3. To start the particular service or both, double-click on both services one by one and make sure under General tab Startup type “Automatic” is selected in drop-down box.
Step 4. Click on the Start button below, to immediately start the service, once Automatic is selected. It will do a little process and will go automatically, finally click on OK button to close the properties box.
Step 5. Now check in Services, “Server” service status is running, as it has no status in Step 2.
