What is User Account Type in Windows?
At the time of Windows setup, you need to create a user account that allows you to sign in to your computer. A user account controls; what tasks you can perform on your Windows? Itself a Windows based privileges that allows computer users to access many tasks according to provided rights. Microsoft Windows allows three types of user accounts in a Windows-based computer following with the Administrator, Standard and Guest account. If you are using Windows 10, version 1809 and later then, it is easy now to create administrator account in Windows 10 within settings without using your Microsoft account or email. This means, you can create a local administrator user account along with choosing security questions that can help user to reset password in case of lost or forget.

Create Administrator Account in Windows 10
The following article will guide you that how you can create a local administrator account on Windows 10 computer:
Step 1. Launch “Windows 10 Settings App” by key combination “Win + I” or navigate to the Windows Start Menu and click “Settings” (gear icon).
Step 2. Navigate and choose “Accounts” to continue. On next page, from the left pane, click “Family & other users”. Then, sub-categories will be displayed to the right-side. Check below image:
Under “Other users”, click “Add someone else to this PC” and it will prompt you another screen shortly.
Step 3. If you willing to sign in by using the Microsoft account, then, enter registered email or phone and continue. If not and want to create a local administrator account, then, click on “I don’t have this person’s sign-in information”.
Step 4. In this screen, choose “Add a user without a Microsoft account”.
Step 5. Now, create an account for this PC by typing “User name” (Sandy PC in the below image as mine) and you can make it secure by using a password {make sure the password will be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess} or continue without a password.
Once you enter the password, continue to choose security questions that will help you to reset password in case you forget in the future and then, click “Next” to finish account creation
Step 6. The moment you have finished above steps, a local account will be added under Family & other users. By default, it is a Standard local account with limited privileges to the user.
To change account type from Standard user to the Administrator, click on “Change account type”.
Step 7. The Change account type screen will be prompted immediately. From the drop down, select Administrator and click OK button.
