In one of our previous articles, we have shown you a first method to fix the notification message which says “Your License isn’t Genuine and You May be a Victim of Software Counterfeiting”.

In case, if first method doesn’t work to you then, follow second method given below.

Remove the Notification of You May be a Victim of Software Counterfeiting Notification

In this process, an old office license will be removed and new license will be installed by using online activation process.

Step 1. Navigate the path below to your system drive C and copy the path from address bar

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16

Note: if you don’t find Microsoft Office folder in Program files then, this solution won’t work for you either.

Step 2. Open Command Prompt as Admin

Step 3. Once the command prompt appears on your screen then, Follow below command in sequence:

Type cd and paste copied command from step 1 and hit Enter from your keyboard.

cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16
```
In next line type, CSCRIPT OSPP.VBS /DSTATUS and hit Enter to initiate the command.
This command will give provide Office license information. Note down given last five characters of product key

Step 3, Point 2
At next line in command prompt type, CSCRIPT OSPP.VBS /UNPKEY:XXXXX
[replace XXXXX with your five characters product key] and hit keyboard Enter button

Above command in point 3 will uninstall your office product key (you will see the message for same as on screenshot)

Now type, Exit and hit Enter. This will close Windows command prompt.

Step 4. Download Online Office Activation file with below button and extract it once downloaded.

Step 5. Open extracted folder and right-click on file Activate and select Run as administrator

Note: Your computer should be connected to the internet while doing this step.

Step 6: The above step will initiate online activation process and within few seconds it will complete and you will see the message “Product Activation Successful”.
