Run Command Prompt as Admin in Windows Vista and Windows 7
Step 1. Click on the Start Menu. Type in cmd into Windows Search to get the result
Right-click on the found results as cmd and select Run as administrator in order to open Command Prompt as Administrator.
Launch Command Prompt as Admin for Windows 8.1
Step 1. Go to the Home Screen by clicking on the Start Menu from the bottom left of the screen.
On the Home Screen, click on the Search Icon to the top right as shown in the image below:
Right-click on the found result as a command prompt and select Run as administrator to get the Command Prompt admin.
How to Open Command Prompt as Admin in Windows 10 and Windows 11?
Step 1. Press Win + S to get the Windows Search.
Step 2. Type: cmd to get the result.
Right-click on the found result as a command prompt (Desktop app) and select Run as administrator to get the Command Prompt admin.
NOTE: You will be getting a User Account Control prompt while opening the command prompt as administrator with options Yes and No.
You need to click Yes in order to open the command prompt as administrator.
