Sometimes, Windows 10 starts creating so many problems and it doesn’t work properly the way it should be. You may think to reset Windows 10 because trying System Restore doesn’t even make any difference.

Eventually, our computer get into very bad and critical situation and we have no move to do that except resetting Windows 10 to default or we can say Windows 10 factory reset.

In windows 10, Microsoft has given a very good feature to make all the issues and bugs to be fixed and it’s called Reset this PC.

How do I do a Factory Reset on Windows 10?

Step 1. Launch the Windows 10 Settings app

Click on the Windows Start Menu. From the left pane, locate and click on Settings.
Optionally, press Win + I to open Windows 10 settings.

Step 2. Select Update & Security.

Step 3. From the left pane, click on Recovery.

Move your mouse pointer to the right-side and click on the Get Started button under “Reset this PC” section.

Step 4. Now you need to choose an option when the next screen appears. Click on either Keep My Files or Remove everything, depending on whether you want to keep your data files.

If you don’t have any personal data then, go with the remove everything option and all Windows settings will return to their defaults and any third party installed apps will be removed.

Keep My Files: If you choose this option on the screen, it will remove apps and settings, but keep your personal files, documents, music or data files, etc.
Remove everything: If you choose this option on the screen, this will erase all of your installed apps and settings along with all of your stored data in it.
Note: before you select Remove everything option, make sure that you have backed up all your data from your computer. This process will turn your computer into its default settings.

Step 5. You will get a Windows warning if you reset this PC, you won’t be able to undo the upgrade and go back to the previous version of Windows. Click on Next.

Step 6. Click Reset on the next screen.
