But now it is very easy to reach on the chrome tab that you want to open instantly.

Google Chrome has introduced a new feature in its new update (version 88) called Tab Search, which is not enabled by default.

Enable Tab Search Option in Google Chrome

Note: Enable Tab Search feature is available in Google Chrome Version 88 and later. Later version of Chrome may include the Tab Search feature by default.

So, check your chrome version before proceeding to below steps.

  1. Launch Google Chrome browser and type, chrome://flags/ in the address bar and hit Enter from your keyboard.
  2. In the search box, type enables tab search and it will show you the result.
  3. On the right, you have drop-down. Click and select Enabled

The moment you have select Enabled option in the drop-down menu, you will see a message in the bottom “Your changes will take effect the next time you relaunch Google Chrome” with Relaunch option.

Click Relaunch button and wait until the Chrome opens again automatically.

It may take around 10 seconds to relaunch Chrome.

How to Use “Tab Search” Option in Chrome?

After the Google Chrome relaunched, you will notice that there is a drop-down icon available in Chrome tab bar.

It is quite easy to use tab search feature in Chrome.

Just click on the drop-down arrow key and it will show you the all-opened tabs in a list view.

Click on the tab or if you have a long list, scroll down and select the tab that you want to open instantly.

The moment you click on it, it will jump to that page.
