Disable Startup Programs
You might have noticed that sometimes Windows 10 loads lots of programs in its startup in its boot. Having lots of programs in Windows startup can slow down your system process. Therefore, in this article we will show you the procedure to disable startup programs in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
For your information, whenever a user installs any program or software for Windows 10, most of the programs are added to Windows 10 startup automatically which we never use at Windows startup.
As a result, when we turn on the system, it takes a lot of time to come up. In other words, we can say that it slows down the Windows 10 boot up process.
You can easily enhance your Windows 10 boot time just by disabling unwanted programs or apps from a Windows 10 startup.
Disable Windows Startup Programs
We are using Windows 10 for this article to show you the steps to disable startup programs.
However, the following steps will work for Windows 8.1 and for Windows 11 as well using the same method shown below:
Step 1. Open Windows Task Manager
There are many ways to launch the Windows task manager. As of now, you can right-click on the Windows Taskbar and click on the Task Manager option.

Step 2. Click More details to explore or expand task manager options.
Step 3. On the Task Manager screen, click on the Startup Tab where you can see a long list of programs enabled for Windows startup.
Now you need to justify which program or app you do not want on a Windows startup.
To disable startup programs on Windows, select the program one-by-one from the list that you want to stop.
Right-click on it and choose the option Disable
Likewise, in the future, if you want any of the programs to be enabled, just open the Windows Task Manager -> select program and right-click then select Enable.
